'An actual shambles': Michail Antonio makes really honest West Ham admission

West Ham United attacker Michail Antonio has admitted that one of our recent victories was an absoltue shambles.

Michail Antonio recently returned to full fitness for West Ham, having missed around four months of the season through injury.

The 34-year-old forward was in really poor form earlier on this season, but he has returned to somewhere near his best in recent weeks.

David Moyes will be delighted to have Antonio back and firing on all cylinders – the Jamaican is so vital to the way in which his side play.

He acts as a real focal point to our attacking play, and the way that he runs the channels creates so much space for his teammates.

If we are to achieve any kind of success this season, Antonio needs to remain fit over the next five or six weeks, that’s for sure.

The former Nottingham Forest man has just opened up on just how lucky he and his teammates were recently…

Michail Antonio says West Ham win was a shambles

The Jamaican has always been well-renowned for being brutally honest when speaking on his podcast.

In fact, he has been criticised by the likes of Gabby Agbonlahor for saying certain things about his peers.

Now the 34-year-old has spoken out again, but this time about his own club.

Antonio laid into the decision from VAR to disallow Wolves’ last minute equaliser against the Hammers, when speaking on the Footballer’s Football podcast:

“It’s an actual shambles. We nicked a win because it’s a shambles. Honestly, the player is in front of Fab but that’s not offside mate in any shape or form. VAR should be scrapped, it has not helped football. Honestly for me, it should have been a draw.”

That’s a really honest verdict from Micky, and I have to say he’s got a point.

However, we’ve had enough decisions go against us this season, and we were due a bit of luck.

In addition to that, the letter of the law states that the goal should have been disallowed.

Michail Antonio clearly feels like West Ham got away with one on Saturday, and maybe that will be the result that ends up securing us European football for the fourth consecutive season.
