Feyenoord now showing interest in 23-year-old Tottenham player Antonio Conte compared to Bernardo Silva

Tottenham Hotspur are now seeing Eredivisie side Feyenoord show an interest in one of their players ahead of the summer transfer window.

Ange Postecoglou has certainly put his stamp on this Tottenham squad over the last two transfer windows.

The Australian has brought in players during his time at the club who have made an immediate impact on the starting XI.

Players such as James Maddison and Micky van de Ven have both arrived at the club and become regulars in Postecoglou’s plans.

However, there are a number of players who simply have not made the cut for Postecoglou since he arrived.

One of the players who has seen his minutes drastically reduced is Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg with the Danish midfielder having reportedly been offered to AC Milan by his agency.

The 28-year-old midfielder is not the only player who could be heading for the exit doors at Hotspur Way this summer.

And one player, in particular, is already receiving interest from the Netherlands ahead of the summer.

Tottenham player Conte likened to Manchester City player could now move to Eredivisie

Daniel Levy and the Tottenham recruitment team have absolutely nailed some transfers in recent years.

The likes of Destiny Udogie was a signing which cost the club very little – relatively speaking – but has had a huge influence on the side this season.

Another example of the fine recruitment by Spurs is the signing of Guglielmo Vicario who arrived without many fans knowing who he even was.

He has now proven himself to be one of the Premier League’s finest goalkeepers in the league and has received high praise from his compatriot, Udogie.

One signing which has not worked out very well for the Lilywhites is the acquisition of Bryan Gil after he was signed in 2021 from Sevilla.

This is a player who was likened to Manchester City’s Bernardo Silva by former Spurs boss Antonio Conte.

“If I have to compare him with someone I can see him like Bernardo Silva at [Man City] in his structure, but, for me, at this moment Silva is physically stronger than him but we are talking about this type of player,” he told TalkSPORT.

Spurs parted with £21.6m and Erik Lamela for the Spaniard who has only played 40 times and has failed to score for the club.

But according to 1908, Feyenoord are now looking to potentially take the 23-year-old away from the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium this summer.

And the report claims the Dutch side have already made a proposal for Gil ahead of the summer, but it is unclear whether that is permanent or loan.

Fabrizio Romano issues update on Bryan Gil’s future

Shortly after the report from the Netherlands emerged, Fabrizio Romano issued his own update on the Spaniard’s future.

The Italian said Gil was not willing to accept a loan offer in January and that remains to be the case ahead of the summer.

Romano claims the 23-year-old is looking for an important project otherwise he will be keen to remain in north London.
