Spain's former queen Sofía leaves hospital feeling well

Spain's former queen Sofía has been discharged from hospital in Madrid after being admitted four days ago due to a urinary tract infection.

She was discharged from the Ruber Internacional hospital and told journalists waiting outside the hospital on Saturday that she felt "very well", "phenomenal" and "like new", state television station RTVE reported.

She is looking forward to going home.

Sofía attended a funeral in Madrid on Monday together with her husband, former King Juan Carlos.
