Arsenal injury latest

Arsenal are facing several potential injury concerns ahead of their clash with Aston Villa at the Emirates Stadium. The Gunners have suffered some absences throughout the campaign, but have managed to keep themselves in the title race.

While that injury list looks a lot slimmer for Mikel Arteta, Jurrien Timber is still set to miss some action as he recovers from a serious knee injury. Meanwhile, there are concerns for Gabriel Magalhaes and Gabriel Jesus.

It remains to be seen whether the pair will be involved to face off against Villa in a huge clash at the top of the table.

Paul Merson Aston Villa vs Arsenal prediction

Former Arsenal star Paul Merson has given his thoughts on the upcoming clash with Aston Villa. The Gunners are looking to keep their place at the top of the Premier League, but ex-manager Unai Emery could stand in their way.

Plenty of predictions have been made in the build-up, with Merson believing that Mikel Arteta’s side can win. Merson has told Sportskeeda: “I watched Aston Villa against Brentford and if they play like that against Arsenal, turn the lights off.

“I have to go with the home side here as they have been unbelievable, especially since the turn of the year and their record at Emirates Stadium makes for impressive reading.”

Merson believes that, for that reason, Arsenal will walk out as two-nil winners from the tie, moving one step closer to the title.

Rio Ferdinand makes Arsenal title claim

Former Manchester United defender Rio Ferdinand has predicted two games that Arsenal will lose before the end of the season. It comes as the Gunners are embroiled in a tight contest for the Premier League title.

Tough clashes are coming up for all of the teams in the race, with only weeks before the season is over. Two of those are away at both Tottenham and Manchester United, which led Ferdinand to believe points may be dropped there.

Meanwhile, presenter and Gunners supporter Laura Woods has boldly backed the north London outfit to win all of their remaining head-to-heads.
