Aston Villa star lauded after ‘ludicrous’ moment against Arsenal
Sunday was an incredible day to be a Villa fan. Unai Emery’s side got back to winning ways in the Premier League with a memorable 2-0 victory over Arsenal.
Leon Bailey got the opener late on before Watkins confirmed the result with his 19th league goal of the season. It was a fabulous finish from the England international but what was arguably better was the assist.
Youri Tielemans played a delicious ball over the top to Watkins, cutting out multiple of Arsenal’s defenders. Reporting on the goal, journalist Matt Maher dubbed Watkins as ‘ludicrous’ while also praising Tielemans.

Multiple first-team players had their best game in Claret and Blue on Sunday. Up against the potential title winners, Villa did not hide away from the challenge and got what they deserved.
Many of Emery’s men earned an 8/10 for their performance. However, one man only managed to achieve a 5/10 while another earned a perfect score.

Ollie Watkins brutally calls out Troy Deeney
Watkins has had a wonderful season at Villa. After netting his 26th goal of the season, the striker is finally receiving the recognition he deserves.
Calls have been made to award him the Premier League Player of the Season after a sensational campaign.
However, one man who had been unconvinced was Deeney. The former striker claimed that Watkins was a ‘winger trying to be a striker’ a few weeks back.
Now, after the Arsenal game, Watkins has hit back on social media mocking the statement made by Deeney.
