Arsenal fans are all saying the same thing about Gabriel Jesus after Aston Villa 2-0 Arsenal

Arsenal fans have now given their verdict on the performance that Gabriel Jesus produced against Aston Villa on Sunday.

Arsenal produced a disastrous performance, which could prove fatal to their Premier League title hopes this season, against Aston Villa at the Emirates Stadium yesterday.

The Gunners passed up plenty of opportunities to score themselves in the first half, then lost control of the game after the break and were punished by a quick-fire double late on from Leon Bailey and Ollie Watkins, who secured at 2-0 win for Unai Emery’s side.

The Arsenal defence has been in remarkable form of late, but if fell apart in the second half against the Midlands outfit, as Mikel Arteta’s team pushed forwards in search of a goal.

Of course, by that time, the hosts should have already been on the scoresheet. The likes of Gabriel Jesus, Kai Havertz, and Leandro Trossard all passed up very presentable first half opportunities to break the deadlock.

Gabriel Jesus fails to shine in Aston Villa loss

Jesus will be particularly disappointed with his profligacy. The Brazilian came back into the starting XI for this match and was tasked with leading the line in place of Havertz who dropped back into the midfield trio.

Havertz has shone as a striker in recent weeks, and the Brazilian needed to prove that he could lead the line effectively when called upon. Instead, Jesus failed to repay the faith shown in him by Arteta and could not deliver for Arsenal.

The former Manchester City man has endured a difficult campaign in front of goal in general, and the calls for Arsenal to sign a new striker this summer will now only grow louder following this display.
