‘We could see from their body language’: Ollie Watkins makes really concerning claim about Arsenal

Arsenal suffered a setback in their quest to beat Liverpool and Manchester City to the Premier League title when they lost to Aston Villa at the Emirates Stadium.

Mikel Arteta’s side suffered a 2-0 defeat at the hands of Aston Villa at the Emirates Stadium in North London in the Premier League on Sunday.

Leon Bailey and Ollie Watkins scored the goals for Villa late in the game to dent Arsenal’s chances of winning the title this season.

Arsenal are now second in the Premier League table. The Gunners are level on 71 points with Liverpool, who are third.

Defending champions Manchester City are at the top of the table with 73 points from 32 games.

Arsenal have been very good this season, but they struggled to break down a very resolute Villa team.

Ollie Watkins has noted that the Arsenal players were getting tired and frustrated as the match went on.

Aston Villa striker Ollie Watkins makes note on Arsenal

Watkins told BBC Match of the Day: “I felt like we grew into the game a lot. The longer Arsenal didn’t create much, we could see from their body language that they were getting tired and definitely getting frustrated and I think we used that as momentum and motivation really. We grew into the game and we played some really good football.”

Concerning observation

In my opinion, Ollie Watkins’s observation of Arsenal is really concerning and worrying.

After all, the Gunners have been a force to be reckoned with this season, and we are now in the business end of the campaign.

If anything, Arsenal should be doubly energised to get over the line and win the Premier League title.

The Gunners had just seen Liverpool slump to a defeat to Crystal Palace at Anfield. Arsenal had the chance to go top and also put a three-point gap between themselves and the Reds.
