A man explained the “repercussions” of dating someone out of your league including annoyances like paying more for drinks and getting jealous.
The incredibly relatable video was published on TikTok by influencer William Seremetis (@willyumgregory) and his stunning girlfriend, Kate Speights (@kateplus8ft).
What to watch out for when dating out of your league
At one point or another, we’ve all heard he or she is “out of your league” from someone near and dear to our hearts. It hurts, and yet, studies have found that most people date up to 25% more attractive than they are.
In case you can bag yourself someone world’s hotter than you are, influencer William has issued a statement outlining some of the things to keep an eye on.
William, who let’s be honest is not ugly, said that the first repercussion was being treated like an “aside” when hanging out with your hottie.
“They are going to start complimenting her, giving her endless praise,” he said, noting how they would pay attention to her nails, hair, and makeup. “Then they’re gonna look at you.”
William said that most people then stumble over their words, insisting “You look handsome” as well.
“Number two. You are going to get exponentially more dap-ups and nods of approval from random bros that you’ve never met before. I cannot tell you how many times they see Kate look away and they just hit me with a little nice.”
Next up was the harsh fact that your girlfriend will get attention, and you’ve just “got to deal with it” because “If you can’t trust this girl I promise you you’re going to drive yourself crazy.”
William’s fourth point was how your bill will be more expensive at bars. Of course, your hot partner’s will be significantly less.
Revealing his final point, he said: “And number five, the hotter the girl, the more loyal she is. Let me repeat that. The hotter the girl, the more loyal she is. Why? Because she’s been getting this attention her whole life.”
William got a confidence boost
Though most people agreed that Kate was beautiful, most of William’s followers were confused by his own looks. With such self-deprecating statements, you’d expect him to be dramatically less attractive than his partner. In reality, it’s quite the opposite.
One person wrote: “She is not out of your league yall are literally both gorgeous and look like siblings.”
“I feel like it’s the other way around,” a second person wrote, as a third added, “Bro looks like a model, what are you talking bout?”
Another person quipped: “I had a friend at work a long time ago. My fiancée came to pick me up and he was so mad about how out of my league she is that he stopped being friends with me.”
