Harry Kane makes pledge to Tottenham fans ahead of Bayern Munich v Arsenal clash

Harry Kane has made a pledge to Tottenham Hotspur fans ahead of Bayern Munich’s UEFA Champions League clash against Arsenal.

The Gunners head into the game tied at 2-2 with a win enough to book a place for Mikel Arteta’s side in the semi-finals of the Champions League, though a difficult away day in Munich against Kane awaits for Arsenal.

Having lost at the weekend to Aston Villa, the north London giants head into Wednesday’s clash in their first lull of 2024 – something that could give Bayern a massive boost in their bid to eliminate Arsenal once again from Europe’s premier club competition.

And Kane has now made a pledge to Tottenham fans heading into Wednesday’s game.

Kane makes a pledge to Tottenham’s fans ahead of Bayern Munich v Arsenal

Speaking to the press via journalist Chris Wheatley, Bayern star Kane said he will do his best to make Tottenham fans happy on Wednesday by eliminating Arsenal from the Champions League.

Despite the hilarious irony that Tottenham actually need Arsenal to progress in the competition in order to help England’s chances of getting a fifth Champions League spot, Kane’s comments could only fire up the north London side heading into Wednesday’s game.

Kane said: “I had a lot of history with Arsenal and the north London derby. It was the biggest game when I was in England but now it’s a new chapter and my focus is trying to beat a really good Arsenal side.

“I know a lot of Tottenham fans will be hoping Bayern go through tomorrow and that’s all I can try and do.”

Arsenal need to use Kane’s comments as fuel for a Champions League push

Wednesday’s clash in Munich has all the makings of being another game to forget for Arsenal, with the Gunners slipping to second in the Premier League on Sunday and Bayern only having eyes on winning the Champions League.

Yet Kane’s comments should be used as fuel by Arsenal’s players, who will want to break the status quo in Bavaria and eliminate Bayern from the Champions League after what the former Tottenham star said.

Indeed, Arsenal have the quality to beat anyone on their day, and the north London side will want to eliminate Kane and Bayern en route to what could be one final push for silverware this season.
