Right from the word ‘go’ Trent and Amber were coming through with the spicy scenes on 7 Little Johnstons season 14. The show kicked off its premiere episode this March and the married couple wasted no time in getting another fun activity on camera – this time, body painting.
While 7 Little Johnstons‘ Amber and Trent appear to enjoy maintaining a level of intimacy in their marriage that many might envy, some TLC show viewers at home have really had enough of their shenanigans, namely Trent’s constant “inappropriate innuendos.” Others jump to the couple’s defense and admire how “in love” they are.
7 Little Johnstons: ‘No more innuendos’
A quick glance at X (Twitter) these days and some 7 Little Johnstons viewers are literally begging for the show’s innuendos to “stop.”
More are taking to Reddit threads to admit they “skip scenes” of any kind of intimate nature because there are so many.
One person wrote: “Is anyone else sick of all of his sexual innuendos? It’s so unnecessary and gross. We don’t need to hear about it.”
Others said on another thread: “…every episode features sexual innuendo between Trent and Amber. Like, tone it down.”
Another wrote: “Trent’s over-the-top sexual commentary in front of his children all the time is also really inappropriate.”
Liz defends her parents
This season on 7 Little Johnstons, Trent and Amber are preparing to become empty nesters.
The couple fill their time with all kinds of activities including trying out body painting classes, reliving their highschool romance, trying on salsa outfits, having a truth or dare date night, and going on their first vacation without the kids.
Last season the two were celebrating their love once again as they had a boudoir photoshoot to mark 25 years of being married.
While the romantic scenes are too much for many viewers, Trent and Amber’s daughter, Liz, understood them.
She said in a confessional: “My parents doing the photoshoot, I mean, they’ve been married for 25 years together. You’ve gotta change it up, you’ve gotta spice it up. You’ve got to keep the relationship going somehow because it would kind of just get boring.”
When the kids were asked by production if they were “curious to see the photos,” they all shouted back: “No!”
Liz added: “I never want to see the photos.”
Some fans of the show also understood Amber and Trent having fun after decades of being married. One person tweeted how they thought it was sweet the two seemed like they were still “in love and young” despite their long marriage.
