Florida guard Will Richard has declared for the 2024 NBA Draft but will maintain college eligibility, he announced via social media on Wednesday.

Richard averaged 11.4 points per game during his junior season with the Gators. He began his collegiate career at Belmont and will have two years of eligibility remaining if he chooses to take his name out of the NBA Draft pool.

However, unlike many in his position, he will not be entering the transfer portal.

“I’m excited to announce that I will be declaring for the 2024 NBA Draft while maintaining my eligibility,” he wrote. “In the event that I return to college, I will be returning to (none) other than the University of Florida. I have every desire to fufill my dreams of playing in the NBA and will allow for the process, and feedback from NBA teams to make a draft decision.”
