Lewis Hamilton has produced some iconic moments through his Formula 1 career, so F1 Oversteer has looked into his best events including his first win and pole position.

The Briton has been on the Grand Prix grid since the 2007 season and has broken records in multiple categories. Hamilton heads the Formula 1 record books for securing the most wins, poles, podiums and wins as a rookie. He took the top step of the podium four times in 2007.

Hamilton will also add only the third team of his Formula 1 career to the joint-record seven-time drivers’ champion’s CV in 2025 when he joins Ferrari on a multi-year contract. McLaren brought Hamilton onto the F1 grid from 2007 until 2012 and he joined Mercedes from 2013.

So, with that in mind, F1 Oversteer has taken a look at the best moments from Hamilton’s F1 career. He has had a raft of iconic feats and dominant results since making his debut aged 22 years, two months and eight days after nine years in McLaren’s young driver programme.

Lewis Hamilton has produced a number of legendary drives to win Formula 1 Grand Prix but his best victory, arguably, came at the 2008 British GP. The home hero topped the podium at Silverstone with a lead of 1:08.577 over Nick Heidfeld and 1:22.273 over Rubens Barrichello.

The British GP saw Hamilton produce an exquisite drive throughout a rain-soaked race. Only Heidfeld and Barrichello even finished the 60-lap event on the lead lap to reach the rostrum with Hamilton. Silverstone also witnessed 2008 title contender Felipe Massa spin five times.

Lewis Hamilton has produced a raft of iconic laps during qualifying sessions since debuting in F1 in 2007. He even produced one of his best qualifying laps in his rookie season to secure Hamilton’s first pole position with a 0.456s gap on P2, Fernando Alonso, at the Canadian GP.

The 2018 Australian GP even saw Hamilton beat Kimi Raikkonen for pole position by 0.664s. While Hamilton recorded a 0.667s margin on Sebastian Vettel to take pole for the 2009 Abu Dhabi GP. Hamilton even beat Max Verstappen to pole by 1.148s for the Italian GP in 2017.

Rain soaked Monza and saw Hamilton sail to a dominant pole position, much like he did at the 2020 Styrian GP. The Briton thrashed P2 qualifier Verstappen by 1.216s at the Red Bull Ring in horrendous rain. But his greatest qualifying lap yet came at the 2018 Singapore GP.

Hamilton produced a touch of magic to top qualifying at Marina Bay with a 0.319s margin to Verstappen. He went 1.329s quicker than the Briton had managed in Q2 to secure pole. The sensational time with his provisional run was inch-perfect on the rapid streets of Singapore.
