It is now ‘extremely unlikely’ that 27-year-old Tottenham player will be at the club next season

Tottenham Hotspur are now set to see one of their on-loan players return despite his manager recently praising his impact.

A number of Tottenham players have been offloaded this season on various loan deals with a variety of success.

Ange Postecoglou has already put his stamp on the squad at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium with a number of players signed since his arrival.

Players like Micky van de Ven and Guglielmo Vicario took no time in making their spot in the starting XI their own.

And the arrivals are set to continue over the coming months with The Spurs News having been told there could be a number of new signings made.

However, it seems there is already one player who the club are going to look to move on in the summer when he returns from his loan spell.

Despite having an impressive stint away from Hotspur Way, it appears Postecoglou has already seen enough of the player to come to the decision to sell him.

Ange Postecoglou is now expected to lose 27-year-old over the summer

With a number of players sent out on loan by Postecoglou already, it has become pretty clear that some do not have a future in north London.

Tanguy Ndombele is perhaps the perfect example of this with the Frenchman already showing enough to Postecoglou to make his mind up.

But there are a number of other players like Japhet Tanganga and Joe Rodon who have actually gone out on loan and impressed.

The latter now looks set to earn himself a move elsewhere in the summer after such a bright season on loan with Leeds United.

And then there has been Sergio Reguilon who has been sent out on loan twice this season; firstly to Manchester United and then to Brentford.

Despite impressing with the Bees, The Athletic are now reporting Thomas Frank’s side are not expected to make an attempt to sign the Spaniard permanently.

And with Postecoglou not convinced by the left-back, it looks like another uncertain future lies ahead of the defender.

What Sergio Reguilon has already said about his Tottenham future

Having landed in north London back in 2020 alongside Gareth Bale, it has been a seriously underwhelming move for all parties.

And he has already made some comments on what could potentially lie ahead for him in the summer transfer window.

“Who knows?” he said when asked about what next after his loan with Brentford.

“I think I’m a top player,” he added. “But you have to show it.”

Here is a rundown of how Reguilon has gotten on as a Spurs player.

But now Spurs have Destiny Udogie to select and the club are said to be looking for a new versatile full-back, it really does leave a big question as to where Reguilon would fit in.
