Crystal Palace are one of the clubs monitoring one 24-year-old Arsenal player ahead of the summer transfer window.
It would be little surprise to see the Gunners sell a number of players at the end of the season. The loan signing of David Raya at the end of the last summer window, and the lack of activity in January suggests that Mikel Arteta could do with bringing in funds in the coming months.
The Champions League exit at the hands of Bayern Munich has led to a debate over the depth available to Arteta.
Arteta has predominantly relied on a core group of players this season. And that may now be catching up with Arsenal, who have not won any of their last three games.
With that, Arsenal arguably need better options from the bench. And some of those on the periphery of the squad will surely be on the move.
Crystal Palace eyeing 24-year-old Arsenal player
One name with a question mark over their future is Eddie Nketiah. Nketiah has fallen to third in the pecking order behind Kai Havertz and Gabriel Jesus.
The 24-year-old has not completed 90 minutes in the Premier League since December. And his last goal in the top-flight came back in October.
According to a report from the Daily Mirror, there are certain to be bids for Nketiah this summer, with Crystal Palace one of those interested.
The report adds that Nketiah is valued at at least £30 million.
A move which could be good for all parties
You get the feeling that Nketiah needs to move away this summer. He has had some brilliant moments in an Arsenal shirt, including a hat-trick earlier this season.
But he turns 25 next month. He surely cannot afford to stick around and be an understudy any longer if he is going to realise his full potential.
Arsenal meanwhile, should be delighted if they get an offer for £30 million. And that may help the Gunners go out and land their targets in the summer.
It could be a move which ends up suiting all parties, with Arsenal now at a level where they need more than what Nketiah offers.
