Jadon Sancho reached the Champions League semi-finals this week with Borussia Dortmund.
To say this season has been ‘strange’ for Jadon Sancho would be putting it mildly. It is the view of many Manchester United fans that he disgraced himself by refusing to apologise to his manager earlier in the season, for a social media outburst.
Sancho wasloaned to Borussia Dortmund, where he is playing Champions League knockout football.
He did not play a single minute for Manchester United in the group stages, with the team crashing out.

Jadon Sancho into Champions League semi-finals
Jadon Sancho’s Borussia Dortmund beat Atletico Madrid 5-4 on aggregate this week in the Champions League quarter-finals.
He did not have a prominent role in the victory, overshadowed by former Manchester United teammate Marcel Sabitzer.
Nonetheless, Sancho is where Manchester United have not been since 2011, the Champions League semi-finals.
Dortmund will take on Paris Saint-Germain, with a place up for grabs in the final against Real Madrid or Bayern Munich.
Erik ten Hag speaks out
Manchester United are in the FA Cup semi-final this weekend, taking on Coventry City at Wembley.
The pre-match press conference featured questions about Sancho, and managerErik ten Hag was happy to answer them.
Ten Hag gave a gracious response when asked if he was aware of Sancho’s success.
He responded: “Of course, I follow international football and follow the players on loan at other clubs. It was a fantastic game, Dortmund against Atletico Madrid.
“A great performance from Dortmund and for Jadon it’s good news. He made his contribution to the result for Dortmund.”
Ten Hag was also asked if this had changed anything about a potential future for Sancho at Manchester United.
He responded: “No, but we know Jadon Sancho is a fantastic football player, so that is not a surprise for us, that is not the issue.”
The issue is Sancho’s willingness to return, and it seems there is a lack of it while Ten Hag is the club’s manager.
At the very least, Sancho’s success will have helped to restore his market value, ahead of a potential summer sale.
