Jurgen Klopp’s mysterious ‘Man Utd contract’ he found after Liverpool match has incredible origin story behind it

Jurgen Klopp’s discovery of a Manchester United contract has finally been resolved after the Liverpool boss stumbled across it following the FA Cup quarter-final defeat last month.

Liverpool’s hopes of reaching the FA Cup semi-finals were thwarted after Manchester United produced a stunning 4-3 win over their Premier League rivals at Old Trafford in March.

Amad Diallo’s heroics deep into extra time ensured that Liverpool crashed out of the FA Cup, with United set to take on Coventry City in the semi-finals on Sunday.

Jurgen Klopp, who lifted the Carabao Cup with Liverpool in February, is in his final season at Anfield after he confirmed that he would step down in the summer.

However, the 56-year-old German could still miss out on the Premier League trophy amid a fierce title race between Manchester City, Arsenal and the Reds.

Liverpool’s hopes of securing a place in the Europa League semi-finals were dashed on Thursday after Atalanta knocked Klopp’s men out in the quarter-finals.

Klopp finds Man Utd contract at press conference

Jurgen Klopp was disappointed after Manchester United’s sensational display dumped Liverpool out of the FA Cup at Old Trafford.

However, the Liverpool boss also saw the funny side of things when he walked into the post-match press conference and found a United contract on the table.

According to The Daily Express, Klopp had hilariously asked if the contract was ‘for him’ ahead of the former Borussia Dortmund boss leaving Liverpool this summer.

The Liverpool boss later blamed the Reds’ recent run of results on his side’s defeat to United in the FA Cup quarter-finals.

Following the FA Cup result, the Reds secured a 2-1 win over Brighton at Anfield in the Premier League before beating Sheffield United 3-1 at home.

However, Liverpool were then held to a 2-2 draw against United at Old Trafford before suffering back-to-back defeats against Atalanta and Crystal Palace.

The ‘fake contract’ Klopp found at Man Utd

YouTube star IShowSpeed recently uploaded a video where he revealed that he collaborated with United and ‘signed’ for the Premier League club.

IShowSpeed, real name Darren Watkins Jr, has become well known for his eccentric personality and his character’s obsession with United legend Cristiano Ronaldo.

The 19-year-old American YouTuber and rapper has even held a stream previously featuring current United star Alejandro Garnacho.

Speed posted a video to his YouTube channel where he was at Old Trafford and claimed that he had been contacted by a “business person” at the club.

“Alright, boys, I just got this call from Man United,” he said in the YouTube video.

“You know, they told me to pull up to the office, so I’m like I’m super confused, I’m like, ‘What’s going on?’ I just got a call from Man United and it sounded like a manager, like somebody like a business person.

“So, I was like, ‘What’s going on?’ And he said it’s very important.”

The streamer entered a room in one segment and was welcomed by someone at United, with Speed sitting alongside him for a pretend press conference.

“Welcome to Old Trafford, Speed,” said the United official.

Responding to United official, Speed said: “Oh my God, no way, bro. No way!”

The man added: “If you’d like to sign there, that’s your first contract.”

When Speed asked how much he would be paid after signing, United official hilariously responded: “We’ll discuss that.”

A BBC Radio Manchester matchday reporter took to social media platform X, formerly Twitter, and connected the dots between Speed and Klopp.

“Another funny thing about this,” Gaz Drinkwater wrote.

“United left the fake ‘contract’ on the table after. Guess who was the next person sat there.”
