'So good': Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta now heaps praise on 'unbelievable' Wolves man

Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta has dropped ‘unbelievable’ praise for one Wolves man ahead of tonight’s Premier League clash.

Wolves host Arsenal in the Premier League tonight.

The Wanderers are winless in their last four matches with Gary O’Neil‘s men suffering from an injury crisis.

That crisis worsened in recent days, having watched Matheus Cunha suffer another setback, despite just returning to the side and scoring a brace against Nottingham Forest last weekend.

O’Neil admitted that given he’s currently got seven first-team players sidelined, he may have to throw some youngsters into the starting lineup, with 19-year-old Nathan Fraser poised to lead the line against Arsenal.

It will take a monumental effort for Wolves to beat the Gunners tonight, although their record against the league’s ‘big six’ will at least fill them with a glimmer of hope, claiming more wins than any other side (5).

In what promises to be an exciting affair at Molineux, Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta has praised one Wolves man as “unbelievable”.

Mikel Arteta hails Gary O’Neil’s impact at Wolves as ‘unbelievable’

Having completely transformed the fortunes of Wolves this season, O’Neil has earned praise from most of the footballing world.

Gary Lineker believes he can go on to become the England manager one day while Tim Sherwood has claimed that no other manager in world football could have pulled off the miracles he’s worked at Molineux.

Arteta, another managerial figure who has been applauded for the job he’s done at the Emirates, has now dropped praise for O’Neil, claiming the work he’s done in Wolverhampton is ‘unbelievable’.

“Unbelievable, so good,” the Spaniard said in his pre-match press conference. “And you can tell how well they are coached, the spirit of the team, the difficulty that they create against every opponent, really good side and it will be really tough tomorrow, we have prepared really good in that last two days, we had a great training session today.”

Why Mikel Arteta thinks Wolves clash will be ‘tough’

Although O’Neil only has 10 outfield players available for selection, such is the depth of their injury problems, Arteta believes his side will have a tough evening at Molineux.

Arsenal tasted defeat against Aston Villa last weekend before being knocked out of the Champions League by Bayern Munich in midweek.

The Spaniard is rightfully wary of the threat Wolves can cause his side, although the injuries to Nelson Semedo and Cunha are huge blows.

Arteta has perhaps looked at the Wanderers record against the big six, having watched them win at home against Manchester City, Tottenham and Chelsea.

But that was during a time when O’Neil had a fully fit squad and could name a potent forward line of Pedro Neto, Hwang Hee-Chan and Cunha.

Sadly, he doesn’t have that luxury tonight, so it’s looking like a tough evening ahead for the hosts unless Arsenal have another off day.
