If the Light Blues are to progress to their second domestic cup final this season, wholesale improvements from every single player will be required.
Quite frankly, the last two performances have been nothing short of dreadful from Rangers at a time when it really matters most in the Scottish Premiership title race.
Attention now turns to the Scottish Cup – but the game is as every bit important as the rest of the league games this season.
The league is almost out of reach so Clement and his men must give their all to at least bring home both the Viaplay Cup and the Scottish Cup to salvage the season.
To do that, some changes are needed to the starting XI against a difficult opponent in Hearts. The pressure is on for Rangers and the players fielded from the start need to deliver.
Fabio Silva and Tom Lawrence dropped
Fabio Silva and Tom Lawrence were just two of the players during the draw with Dundee in midweek who failed to turn up when it counted.
Silva, who was branded ‘woeful’ by former Rangers midfielder Derek Ferguson after the Dens Park disaster, simply must be dropped.
Rabbi Matondo now deserves a chance to take the left wing spot from the underperforming Silva although it wouldn’t be a surprise to see Clement stick with his loan signing from Wolves.
Lawrence was tried alongside John Lundstram but that decision failed to ignite any success so Mohamed Diomande is the natural replacement for the Welshman.
The third and final change, perhaps the easiest of the day, is Cyriel Dessers for Kemar Roofe. Here is our final Rangers predicted XI for the Hampden showdown:
