'He's been a revelation': Martin Keown wowed by Arsenal player who contested 10 ground duels tonight

Arsenal returned to the top of the Premier League table following their 1-0 win away at Wolves on Saturday night.

The Gunners had endured a difficult seven days prior to their trip to the West Midlands with two defeats in all competitions.

Arsenal lost 2-0 to Aston Villa at the Emirates Stadium last Sunday to concede advantage to Manchester City at the summit.

Then, in midweek, the Gunners lost at Bayern Munich to go out of the Champions League at the quarter-final stage.

Arsenal desperately needed a win at Molineux to keep their title hopes alive, and they managed to get what they came for.

In the 44th minute of the game, Leandro Trossard benefited from a big slice of luck to put the Gunners in front against Wolves.

Gabriel Jesus set up the Belgian, who fired across the ball, coming off his toe, and spinning into the top corner of the opposition net.

It was Trossard’s ninth goal of the season, and Highbury legend Martin Keown was eager to sing the £90,000-a-week player’s praises.

What did Martin Keown say about Arsenal forward Leandro Trossard?

“It’s a good play from Arsenal,” he told Premier League Productions.

“There’s a suggestion maybe Jesus had received a foul there but he gets up quickly.

“He [Trossard] just swings a foot at it. He’s been a revelation since he came to club. Value for money? £27 million!”

As well as getting the opener, Trossard also weighed in with some other good stats, as per Sofascore.

The 29-year-old completed one dribble, contested 10 ground duels, winning three, made one key pass, and chipped in with one tackle.

Deep into injury time, Martin Odegaard made sure of all three points by firing past Jose Sa from a tight angle after good work from Declan Rice and Kai Havertz.
