Arsenal have just done something for the first time in history after beating Wolves 2-0

Arsenal have just picked up a well-deserved 2-0 win over Wolverhampton Wanderers in the Premier League.

The Gunners went into the game at the Molineux on the back of two consecutive defeats against Aston Villa and Bayern Munich.

Anything but a win tonight would’ve surely ended our Premier League title hopes but Mikel Arteta‘s men got the job done.

Leandro Trossard opened the scoring just before the break and Martin Odegaard sealed the win in second-half stoppage time.

The three points put Arsenal back on top of the Premier League table for the time being.

Arsenal have just done something for the first time ever after beating Wolves

Arsenal have broken so many records this season.

Mikel Arteta has built a tremendous squad at the Emirates, and more often than not, our players have stepped up and delivered.

That is the reason why we are currently on top of the Premier League table, and if we can keep this going, there’s every chance we’ll end this season as the champions.

One of the most impressive statistics about Arsenal this season is that we’re not just the team with the most goals scored in the Premier League but also the side who have conceded the least.

Goals have rarely been an issue for us over the years, so the first stat isn’t as surprising, but to see our defence doing so well is just remarkable.

Following our win against Wolves on Saturday night, Arsenal have achieved a new extremely impressive feat.

The Gunners have now kept six consecutive clean sheets away from home for the first time in our league history. That is simply incredible!

David Raya on the verge of equaling an incredible record

One of the biggest reasons why Arsenal’s defensive record is so good is David Raya.

There were a lot of questions asked about the Spanish goalkeeper when he replaced Aaron Ramsdale after the first four games of the season.

Mikel Arteta was heavily criticised for that decision at the time.

However, the Arsenal boss has been proven right once again, and Raya could soon equal an extraordinary record that will put him alongside a Premier League great.

The Brentford loanee has just become the second goalkeeper in the history of the Premier League to keep a clean sheet in six consecutive away appearances.

Edwin van der Sar currently holds the record for Manchester United, having kept seven clean sheets in a row between November 2008 and February 2009.

Arsenal’s next away game is against Tottenham Hotspur, and a clean sheet there will see Raya equal Van der Sar’s fantastic Premier League record.
