After a nearly two-hour weather delay, Auburn and Kentucky are ready to resume their softball matchup. The Tigers announced via X that the game is set to resume at 7:45 p.m. CT on Saturday.
Auburn held a 2-0 lead in the bottom of the fourth inning when play was stopped. The teams retook the field 30 minutes later only for there to be another delay. The Tigers will resume play with two outs and runners on first and second base.
It’s been quite the day for the Auburn and Kentucky softball teams as the game was originally scheduled to begin at 3 p.m. CT. However, the start was delayed more than one hour. Just when the teams appeared to be in the clear, another lengthy delay occurred.
Now we’re nearly five hours past when the game was supposed to begin with nearly half of the contest still to be played. Hopefully the weather has passed and the teams can finish this one out without any further delay.
