The dating ‘eye trick’ might be toxic, but women say it 100% works

A spiritualist and crystal shop owner dug deep to share her hidden “eye trick” that although “toxic”, has worked wonders for her and other women.

Despite engaging in relationships since literally the dawn of humanity, we still know very little about the inner dynamics of dating and the psychology behind love. Thankfully, while scientists work away to get us answers, TikTok is providing some top tips and tricks including the recent viral Standards Test.

What is the toxic eye trick?

Georgina is mostly known for popping out content on the wonderful world of crystals and their many benefits. When she’s not playing with rocks or manifesting her inner desires, she posts some pretty solid advice through her Athena’s Crystals (@athenascrystals) TikTok page.

In 2022, she took to TikTok with a message for her 1.4 million followers about how to attract a man with nothing but your eyes. Allegedly, she’d seen fully grown men “crumble” at the sight of the all-powerful eye trick.

Though she admitted to it being a little “toxic”, Georgina explained: “I found this works best when they are really passionately talking about something. He is talking, he is in the zone, probably mansplaining something really simple.

“You’re gonna look them in the left eye, then look down at their mouth, and then back up at their right eye. Like a triangle.”

Georgina concluded her Ted Talk by suggesting that singletons should “throw in a little smile” at the end as the cherry on top.

There is also some science to back up Georgina’s claim, as psychotherapist Annette Nuñez previously told MGB Relationships: “We pick up on people’s nonverbal cues—and eye contact is a nonverbal cue—as a way of communicating with somebody, and especially somebody that you’re interested in.”

“We pick up on people’s nonverbal cues—and eye contact is a nonverbal cue—as a way of communicating with somebody, and especially somebody that you’re interested in,” added sex therapist De-Andrea Blaylock-Solar.

People are reporting great results

Lots of Georgina’s followers admitted to either using the trick or having had it used on them. One follower even said that was how she picked up her long-term boyfriend.

“Yep, the eye trick is proven. If someone is glancing down at your lips it’s a signal they want to kiss you,” one fan said.

Another shared: “And the other one that you look somewhere else while he talks and slowly turn your head to him while keep looking somewhere else and THEN your eyes.”
