Theo Walcott gives honest verdict on what Tottenham will want to do vs Arsenal

Theo Walcott has now given his honest verdict on what Tottenham will try to do against Arsenal in their massive Premier League clash.

The race for the title is set to go to the wire with the Gunners, Manchester City and Liverpool all vying for England’s biggest prize, with the north London side currently in the driving seat with Pep Guardiola’s men having a game in hand.

A 2-0 win on the weekend inspired by Leandro Trossard got Arsenal back on track having stumbled in their last three games, with Mikel Arteta’s side facing two massive games this week in London rivals Chelsea and Tottenham.

And Walcott has now given his verdict on how Tottenham will approach the North London Derby on Sunday.

Walcott predicts Tottenham to go all-out against Arsenal on Sunday

Speaking on Sky Sports, Walcott has predicted what Tottenham will attempt to do versus Arsenal later this week, with the former England international claiming Spurs will be hellbent on ruining the Gunners title party.

Indeed, a win for Arsenal could be massive in their bid to end their 20-year wait for an English championship, whilst defeat at Tottenham could all but end any hope of Arteta making history with the north London side this season.

Walcott said when asked what he believes will happen in the derby on Sunday: “The North London Derby, Tottenham are not going to want Arsenal to get anything out of this game.

“They are going to want to spoil the party completely, potentially spoil everyone’s party because they are going for the top four themselves, so they have got a job to do.”

Another loss could mean the end for Arsenal’s Premier League title hopes

Five games stand between Arsenal and the Premier League title, and for Arteta, the Basque coach is fully aware that one slip-up at this stage of the season could mean conceding the championship to either City or Liverpool.

As a result, Arsenal need to be perfect between now and late-May, with this week one that could potentially define the entire season for the Gunners given who they are facing in Chelsea and Tottenham.

The stakes have never been higher for Arsenal, and two wins this week will be huge for Arteta and his squad in their quest to win the Premier League for the first time in two decades.
