Report: West Ham keen on 46-year-old PL coach who Guardiola called 'unbelievable' to replace David Moyes

It looks like being the end of the line for David Moyes at West Ham United, with the club set to move on in the summer.

A 5-2 hammering at the weekend at the hands of Crystal Palace has put Moyes under further pressure, despite them being in 8th in the Premier League table.

Moyes’ future at the club has been under constant scrutiny despite winning a European trophy less than 12 months ago.

The Scot has always kept classy when questioned about his time at the club and what the future holds but it now looks like the Hammers will indeed move on.

A report from The Athletic has suggested Moyes will be replaced and that West Ham have held talks with Liverpool target, Ruben Amorim, as his replacement.

However, according to The Guardian, there are other names on the Hammers’ list, including a current Premier League manager.

West Ham consider Marco Silva as David Moyes replacement

According to The Guardian, a number of names are under consideration by the West Ham board.

One of those is current Fulham manager, Marco Silva, who has been lauded as an ‘unbelievable‘ coach by none other than Pep Guardiola.

The Fulham boss has once again led his side away from danger this season and he has a number of admirers across the Premier League.

Indeed, West Ham were keen on Silva a year ago before deciding to stick with Moyes for another year.

However, it looks like Silva is back in the mix, with report here claiming he is one of a number of options being looked at by the Hammers’ board.

Other names, such as Julen Lopetegui and Paulo Fonseca are also mentioned.

Fulham, of course, will be keen to keep hold of Silva and will see him as an integral part of their future.

However, West Ham will fancy their chances of tempting him to another part of London.

The Hammers are likely to back any new manager in the summer window and with top players like Jarrod Bowen and Tomas Soucek onboard, the future could be bright for any potential new West Ham boss.
