It’s hard to imagine Travis Kelce with someone other than Taylor Swift, and it looks like there’s one dating story he’d like to forget himself. People do insane things in college, but Travis Kelce may have taken it a step too far when he blew his entire college fund to woo his girlfriend.
We all know Travis Kelce does whatever he can to woo potential girlfriends. Before dating Taylor Swift he traveled down to one of her concerts, hoping to give her a friendship bracelet ‘with his number’ on it. Unfortunately, his mastermind plan didn’t work but he managed to charm her in the end.
Travis Kelce once ‘used his entire college fund’ for a girl
Ever the charmer, the NFL star recalled the sweetest thing he’d ever done in the name of love. “In college, I remember I was dating a young lady and I wanted to do something really really special, he told Kristin Cavallari on her podcast, Let’s Be Honest with Kristin Cavallari in September, just before he went ‘public’ with Swift.
“So I used my entire college check for this one evening. And it was New Year’s Eve so it was multiple things back to back to back,” he explained, before showcasing how he DID NOT hold back. “I ended up renting out a Penthouse hotel room, which was 95% of the money I had.”
“The dinner was alright, but the hotel at the end of the night with the Dom Perignon, that was definitely the nicest thing, at least definitely up until that point.
“Putting my entire bank account into one evening with a lady, without a doubt,” the 34-year-old concluded. We’re sure he’d struggle to spend his entire bank account in one evening these days!
A look back at the NFL star’s dating history before Taylor
Although we can’t go as far back as his college girlfriends, the Kansas City Chiefs star has had a few public relationships before Tay.
In 2016, he hosted his own TV show, Catching Kelce, in which a woman from each state competed to win his heart. He then went on to date winner, Maya Benberry for around a month or two after the show.
In 2017, Kelce began dating fashion influencer Kayla Nicole, after he “slid in” to his Instagram DMs. The relationship lasted five years, before calling it quits for good in 2022.
He was then rumored to be dating Access Hollywood correspondent Zuri Hall after she was spotted watching a Chiefs game in his family suite. However, these rumors were never confirmed.
Cut to September 2023, and Traylor mania began. Here’s to many more years!
