'Is this' - talkSPORT pundit immediately called out one Man Utd star for 'shameless' moment vs Coventry City, he didn't hold back

TalkSPORT pundit Gabby Agbonlahor ruthlessly took aim at one Manchester United star after his “shameless” moment in the FA Cup semi-final win over Coventry City.

Manchester United punched their ticket to the FA Cup final in May and will face defending champions Manchester City at Wembley.

However, Erik ten Hag’s men came close to missing out on the final after squandering a 3-0 advantage in their FA Cup semi-final tie at Wembley.

United were comfortably leading Coventry City in regular playing time on Sunday before Mark Robins’ men produced a stunning comeback against the Red Devils.

Haji Wright scored an injury-time penalty to send the thrilling FA Cup tie to extra time, with United reeling from the setback against the Championship side.

Coventry thought they had caused a stunning upset against United during injury time in extra time before VAR ruled out a potential winner for Mark Robins’ side.

United held on in extra time and Erik ten Hag’s side ensured their victory on penalties, with only Casemiro missing from the spot-kick for the Red Devils.

Callum O’Hare was denied from the penalty spot by Andre Onana before Ben Sheaf skied his spot-kick effort, as United clinched a 4-2 penalty win in the FA Cup tie.

Agbonlahor slams Man Utd star’s behaviour

Despite fending off a resilient Coventry City, a majority of Manchester United players on the pitch tamed down their celebrations after the penalty shootout win.

However, Antony was ruthlessly slammed on social media and by pundits over his over-the-top celebrations after blowing a 3-0 lead in the FA Cup tie in the first place.

The 24-year-old Brazilian winger had come off the bench and replaced Alejandro Garnacho in the second half, with Erik ten Hag criticised for the decision made.

Antony offered very little on the pitch when he did come on and the former Ajax star failed to make his mark in the semi-final clash at Wembley.

Gabby Agbonlahor, who has been a staunch critic of Antony, took to social media and pulled no punches towards the United star after his celebration post-penalties.

Antony was spotted cupping his ears towards the Coventry City players after Mark Robins’ men were knocked out of the competition.

Speaking on X, formerly known as Twitter, Agbonlahor wrote: “Is this guy the most shameless flop ever to grace our beautiful league?

“Shame on you Antony, you wouldn’t even start for Coventry you p**t.”

Man Utd boss Ten Hag sends message

Speaking after the FA Cup tie, Ten Hag stressed the importance of “togetherness” and thanked the fans for ‘backing’ him and his men.

“Always we are together and it’s about the togetherness on the pitch, the togetherness off the pitch and the bench,” he said, as per Manchester United’s official website.

“Definitely subs playing a very important role, but the fans as well. We are in there together and we are in a fight and we will return to the times where United are winning a lot and going a minimum every year for one trophy.

“To get this you need a togetherness, you need a fight together, you need an ambience to create.

“And there the fans are hugely important. So, I will say thank you to the fans and to stick together and to back us.”
