Pep Guardiola to make five changes, 19-year-old youngster to start: Man City predicted line-up vs Brighton

In our view, a much-changed Manchester City team could be on display as we call their predicted lineup to face Brighton & Hove Albion.

Considering Pep Guardiola played quite a strong side against Chelsea in the FA Cup semi-final, he could make as many as five changes for the contest against Roberto De Zerbi’s side.

Manchester City predicted lineup vs Brighton

First things first, Ederson seems set to replace Stefan Ortega in between the sticks, as per our predicted Manchester City lineup to feature against Brighton.

After Manchester City’s 1-0 win against Chelsea, Pep Guardiola praised Kyle Walker for the desire he showed, despite playing 120 minutes against Real Madrid a few days ago.

With City’s number two recently coming back from injury, perhaps Guardiola might rest him for precautionary reasons and give the 19-year-old, Lewis a start at right-back.

Manchester City defender John Stones seems set to start against Brighton, according to our predicted lineup, seeing how he just played one half of football against Chelsea.

Sky Sports News had revealed that the 29-year-old was in training for City, allaying fears that he had picked up a knock against the Blues.

As a result, Manuel Akanji could be benched for the clash.

Alongside John Stones, Ruben Dias could start, as he came on as a substitute in the second half and he might be fresh for Thursday’s trip to the Amex Arena.

At left-back, Nathan Ake, who impressed against Chelsea in the FA Cup semi-final might keep his place in the side.

During crunch time, Rodri might end up starting all the remaining six games for Manchester City, including their clash against Brighton, as per our predicted lineup as he is simply irreplaceable.

Mateo Kovacic might get a start in midfield, considering it was reported that Phil Foden, who played centrally against Chelsea was not spotted in training ahead of the contest.

Manchester City vice-captainKevin De Bruyne is likely to keep his place in the side, according to our predicted lineup and he will have to be at his best to help his side get the three points.

In the aforementioned report about Phil Foden, it was also mentioned that Erling Haaland was not spotted in training.

With that in mind, Julian Alvarez seems guaranteed to start once again.

On the right flank, it is difficult to see Bernardo Silva not keeping his place in the team to face the Seagulls, especially after his winning goal on Saturday.

At left wing, Jack Grealish might be replaced by Jeremy Doku, whose recent cameos have been praised by Pep Guardiola.
