Tom Sandoval has introduced a new assistant, Craig Johns Jr, to replace Ann Maddox. His former assistant, Ann, has been hired by his ex, Ariana Madix, after Sandoval had a seven-month affair.
Vanderpump Rules has introduced a new cast member: Craig Johns Jr, who has become a “duo” with Sandoval. The musician and bartender at Schwartz and Sandy’s often makes Tom Sandoval tea!
Sandoval’s new assistant Craig
Sandoval introduced his new tattooed assistant, Craig Johns Jr, on Vanderpump Rules season 11 episode 13. He says they have “become a duo” after first meeting at Schwartz and Sandy’s.
Craig works as a bartender at Sandoval and Tom Schwartz‘s restaurant, as well as an editor, musician and actor. The 29-year-old knows cast members’ friends, Kyle Chan and Jo Wenberg.
Craig and Jo even posed for a photo together in November 2022, which she captioned, “Meet Craig.” Talking about his new role, he admits he is “here more than at home” of Tom and Ariana’s home.
Craig spends more time at Sandoval’s
Craig admits he spends more time at Sandoval and Ariana Madix‘s house than his own. He also helps out around the former couple’s shared Valley Village home, from tidying up to making Tom tea.
He could be seen checking in with Ariana as she used her and Tom’s home gym. “Just got to grab a few things real quick,” he said as he entered the room. “Do you know how long you’re gonna be in here?”
Craig added, “[Tom] wanted to get in a workout at some point as well.” After that, Tom and Craig took a phone call with a realtor to inquire about “two units on one property.”
He fired ex-assistant Ann Maddox
Tom fired his former assistant, Ann Maddox, who was later hired by Ariana and Katie Maloney for their sandwich shop. Ann had approached Ariana to say she would “love to work for a girl boss”.
However, Sandoval says his lawyer is sending a letter to Ann for starting a podcast called, I Signed An NDA. He told his co-stars how he had Maddox sign an NDA while working for him.
He claims Ariana would “get annoyed someone was in the house” and would often ask why he needed an assistant while Ann worked for him. Sandoval also said, “Things didn’t work out with Ann.”
