[Eeyan ! From Osaka Shopping Street] A burial mound where ancient spirits sleep, seen from the top of a building in Sakai

If you come to Osaka, why not take a peek at the ancient scenery from a rooftop? At the Sakai City Hall 21st floor observation lobby at Sakai Higashi Station on the Nankai Koya Line, you can see the majestic merchant town, including the Mozu-Furuichi Kofun Group, a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

You can also enjoy a 360-degree view of Awaji Island and the Akashi Kaikyo Bridge across the sea in the distance, Osaka city including Abeno Harukas to the north, Mt. Ikoma and Mt. Kongo to the east, and Kansai Airport to the south.

The observation lobby, which overlooks the Sakai cityscape from about 80 meters above ground, is filled with exhibits about the history and highlights of Sakai city.

The observation lobby on the 21st floor of Sakai City Hall is open to the public free of charge from 9:00 to 19:00, except for one day each year when the entire building experiences a power outage.
