'I just think': Roy Keane says Nottingham Forest have been doing something he doesn't like recently

Roy Keane has explained that Nottingham Forest have been doing something just lately that he really can’t get on board with.

The Reds were beaten 2-0 by Everton in their last game in the Premier League in a clash that was marred by some unbelievable VAR controversies.

Forest released a statement after the game that was slammed by Alan Shearer, whilst Stuart Attwell was announced as a VAR official for Euro 2024 this week.

Attwell failed to award Forest three penalties at Goodison Park with on-field referee Anthony Taylor hardly covering himself in glory either.

Now, Keane has explained that Forest keep doing something that he’s simply not a big fan of.

What Nottingham Forest keep doing to annoy Roy Keane

Well, it takes a lot to have Keane moaning and whinging and he’s normally complimentary about Forest – certainly since their return to the Premier League.

Now, he’s taken a bit of a swipe at the club’s hierarchy and they keep doing something that he finds extremely annoying, to say the least.

He thinks the club need to focus on playing football and he’s really not a fan of the other antics that Forest keep getting involved in away from the green bit.

He said on The Overlap: “Forest the last few months I don’t think they have shown any class, that’s the way I would look at it. I just think the way they are carrying on, they were on the pitch against Liverpool, the statements coming out, you look at the ownership.

“I was lucky to play for Forest, a brilliant club when I was there, but I don’t like the kind of behaviour at the moment that they are doing.

“They are entitled to come out defend themselves, of course, and fight their own corner but I just look over the last few years and I don’t like what I see really with the behaviour of what’s gone on at ownership level.”

Keane has a point and Forest must now roll their sleeves up

In recent weeks, Forest have seen Brentford and Everton sort themselves out to the point where they’re both now practically safe.

Forest are in a battle with Burnley and Luton and it would appear that it’s not two from three in the relegation battle.

One thing that the Reds haven’t quite shown just yet is a bit of fight in their quest to avoid the drop and hopefully, they can find that with time running out.

Forest can’t go down this season. With Manchester City to come next in the Premier League, however, the chances of the club dropping into the bottom three this weekend do look strong.

Keane is right to critique the club to a certain degree. The lack of professionalism over the past week has been alarming and lessons need to be learned in the boardroom.
