Ashley Cole may well be the best full-back in Premier League history.
The England legend was fantastic for both Chelsea and Arsenal, picking up trophy after trophy for both London clubs.
Cole has just been inducted into the Premier League Hall of Fame, and speaking to TNT Sports about his induction, he’s discussed the current crop of full-backs in the Premier League.
We’ve entered something of a Golden Era in the Premier League when it comes to full-backs as the likes of Trent Alexander-Arnold, Kyle Walker and Andy Robertson have been fantastic for years.
However, speaking to TNT, Cole has reserved some special praise for Tottenham’s Destiny Udogie.

The former left-back was full of praise for the £15m Tottenham man, describing him as an elite player.
“You have to applaud and give credit to the top ones, the Trents the Reece James’, Robertson who is bombing up and down and can do everything. There are some top quality full-backs in the Premier League at the moment – Udogie at Tottenham who I think is elite,” Cole said.
Destiny Udogie has bags of potential
Cole isn’t wrong, Udogie does look like an elite player, and the scary thing is that he’s only 21 years old.
The Italian still has so much room to grow and improve, and if he can continue on this sort of trajectory, we could be talking about one of the Premier League’s all-time greats in a few years’ time.
The defender looks like a star in the making, and we’re very excited to see just how far he can go for Tottenham.
Udogie may have only had one season in the Premier League so far, but he’s already making a mockery of that £15m transfer fee Tottenham paid to sign him last summer.
