From The Apprentice to boxing gym

The Apprentice 2023 winner, Marnie Swindells, opened her boxing gym thanks to a £250K investment from Lord Sugar. She has now unveiled the major overhaul after a year-long refurbishment.

Marnie said: “It’s fantastic to finally be able to complete the renovation, which has involved adding a whole new level to the gym to provide state of the art facilities to members and the community.”

She has now added a fully equipped weight room, sauna, disabled-access facilities and a cafe, adding that she “can’t speak highly enough” of Lord Sugar, as well as The Apprentice crew for their support.

Marnie Swindells helps out community

Marnie has already worked with the Met Police’s Unite programme offering boxing sessions to youngsters in the area, with local schools using the facility in Camberwell, South London.

She wants to continue to expand the work in the inner-city community, as well as provide a 360-degree service to help talented boxers and users to develop and fulfil their full potential.

Marnie said, “I really hope this can become a valuable part of the community, and an opportunity for all to access boxing and fitness, along with the health benefits taking part gives.”

Rachel Woolford runs her own gym

The latest winner of The Apprentice, Rachel Woolford, turned up to support Marnie’s gym. She has opened her own fitness facility and was there to support Swindells on her launch night.

Rachel owns North Studio UK in partnership with Lord Sugar, who Marnie calls “arguably one of the most renowned men in business,” which she opened in August 2020.
