Ange Postecoglou outcast is now refusing to leave on loan, he wants permanent Tottenham exit

Tottenham Hotspur have now seen one of their outcasted players refuse the prospect of another loan away this summer.

It could be another busy transfer window for Tottenham over the coming months with Ange Postecoglou looking to fine tune this squad.

A number of quality signings have come through the doors at Hotspur Way since the Australian’s appointment.

Micky van de Ven is one of the players who has instantly arrived in north London and brought an immediate improvement to the starting XI.

And then there is the likes of James Maddison, Brennan Johnson and Guglielmo Vicario who have also proved to be smart acquisitions.

However, there is also some players who have seen their roles at the club become almost redundant ahead of the summer window.

But one player, in specific, is now wanting to call his time at Tottenham this summer having already been sent out on various loans.

Tottenham outcast is now desperate to leave N17 this summer

Over the coming months, a number of players could be headed for the exit doors at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg is one of the more experienced players who looks set to be cut from the squad this summer.

And he will be following in the footsteps of players like Eric Dier who simply did not meet Postecoglou’s standards.

But it is not just Hojbjerg who looks set to leave the club over the coming months.

According to Estadio Deportivo, winger Bryan Gil is now wanting a permanent exit from Tottenham in the summer transfer window.

The 23-year-old has only featured for 189 minutes in the Premier League this season and only featured in the squad twice over the last nine games.

Gil is said to be receiving strong interest from Eredivisie side Feyenoord who have now tabled an improved offer for the Spaniard.

What Ange Postecoglou said about Bryan Gil in February

There was interest in Gil over the winter window but he remained put in north London and it is a decision which has not paid off.

Since the window closed, Gil has only played four minutes of Premier League football and that came in the first game in February.

Speaking after the closure of the January market, Postecoglou commented on Gil remaining at the club despite receiving interest over a short-term loan. “It’s not an issue with me,” Postecoglou said.

“Yeah, there was a bit of interest in Bryan, a bit of interest in a lot of our players, but I’ve said this before it is not my role to push people out in that kind of situation. I still very much regard them as our players and Bryan is a fantastic young player.

“He works so hard to improve every day and this first half of the year he’s had a couple of injuries. People shouldn’t underestimate that, especially in a set-up like ours where most of the guys who had a strong pre-season are the ones that hit the ground running.”
