Eindhoven set to be Dutch champions after 8-0 thrashing

PSV Eindhoven effectively wrapped up their 25th men's Dutch football title with their highest league win in almost 14 years on Thursday.

Peter Bosz's team won 8-0 at SC Heerenveen. Their goal difference is so strong that they cannot be caught.

The game in Heerenveen had to be interrupted shortly before the end after the visiting fans set off a large amount of pyrotechnics and fogged up the stadium.

The last time Eindhoven celebrated a bigger victory in the top division was in October 2010 with a 10-0 win over Feyenoord.

In 31 league games, the former European Cup winners have celebrated 27 victories with only three draws and one defeat. PSV have scored 103 goals in the process.
