  • Table of Contents

Shibuya has long flourished as a trendsetting area.

Due to the recent increase in tourists from overseas, the entry of major overseas tech companies, and redevelopment, the city is rapidly developing and is attracting attention from all over the world.

It is a diverse mix of tourism, business, culture, people, cuisine, and more, and is constantly evolving, fascinated by people.

So, for those of you planning to come to Japan, I would like to introduce the area around Shibuya Station.

① Scramble intersection

· overview

This is one of the world's largest scramble crossings, located on the northwest side of JR Shibuya Station, right in front of you as you exit the Hachiko ticket gates.

It is located at the intersection of an east-west street running from Miyamasuzaka to Dogenzaka and a north-south street running from the west exit of Shibuya Station to Shibuya Koen-dori, and is known as "the busiest intersection in the world," with more than 1,000 people passing through every time the light is green.

In the square in front of the station to the southeast of the intersection, you will find the Shibuya symbol, the statue of Hachiko, a famous meeting place in the area.

·Checkpoint

When the light turns green, it is fascinating to see pedestrians crossing the street without bumping into each other.

Also, don't forget to take a photo with the statue of Hachiko, the loyal dog, the symbol of Shibuya.
