'Don't laugh': Emmanuel Petit has just predicted who's going to win the NLD - Arsenal or Tottenham

Tottenham Hotspur take on Arsenal in the Premier League this weekend, and Emmanuel Petit has revealed his prediction for the game.

The North London Derby is always massive for both sides, and the game on Sunday is not going to be any different.

Arsenal have to beat Spurs to keep their Premier League title hopes alive, while Ange Postecoglou’s men are chasing the fourth spot in the table to qualify for next season’s Champions League.

To add to that, Tottenham fans would love nothing more than to kill Arsenal’s title dreams.

The game on Sunday is going to be an incredible watch, and Petit has confidently revealed who he thinks will come out on top.

Emmanuel Petit predicts the winner of Tottenham vs Arsenal

Arsenal are still on top of the Premier League table, but Manchester City, who have a game in hand, are now just a point below them after their win over Brighton last night.

Pep Guardiola‘s men always come alive at this stage of the season.

Manchester City are proven winners, and all of their players know exactly what needs to be done to get over the line ahead of their rivals.

Arsenal don’t have their destiny in their own hands – all they can do is win their remaining games and hope City slip up somewhere.

The biggest game of Mikel Arteta‘s season is coming up this Sunday, when Tottenham Hotspur host them in the North London Derby.

The nerves are kicking in for Arsenal fans, but Emmanuel Petit seems convinced that his old side will pick up a comfortable win.

Andy Goldstein asked Petit on talkSPORT: “I know of course you want Arsenal to win it for so many reasons but how do you see the game going?”

Petit replied: “It’s not I want Arsenal to win, they are going to win. No, don’t laugh guys, they’re going to win. It’s a different team from last season, honestly.

“They show great mentality and personality, they show composure all the time. It’s not the same Arsenal at the same point last season. Remember, they lost the plot probably mentally but they lost important players on injuries. It’s not the case this season.

“The reaction they did against Chelsea showed how good they are in terms of character and personality, how much they improved from last season. OK, it’s a big derby, (for) both teams (it’s) a must-win game for different reasons, but I still believe Arsenal are the best side away from home this season, the best attack, the best defence, for me it’s green lights.

“It will be an open game, I don’t see a close game, a tactical game, things like this, and I don’t want to that in derbies like that. I see something like a 3-1 for Arsenal.”

Arsenal can exploit big Tottenham weakness

Tottenham have become a very good side under Ange Postecoglou.

The Aussie has done a terrific job since taking charge of the club, and Arsenal will definitely find it more difficult at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium this weekend than they did last season.

However, Spurs have suffered a huge blow ahead of the derby on Sunday – Destiny Udogie is ruled out of the game and the remainder of the season due to an injury.

That means Tottenham will most likely have to go with Ben Davies or Emerson Royal at left-back. Bukayo Saka will fancy that battle, and he could cause them some serious problems on Sunday.

It will be interesting to see how the game will pan out, but if Saka wins his battles on the pitch, Arsenal should be able to come away with all three points.
