Heung-min Son shares what the Tottenham players are all saying ahead of Sunday’s game against Arsenal

Tottenham Hotspur host their north London rivals Arsenal on Sunday in what is panning out to be their biggest game of the season.

The visitors have an awful lot on the line as they push for the Premier League title, but Tottenham have their own targets to reach for.

Ange Postecoglou‘s men are still very much in the conversation for a top four finish but it would require them to have an almost faultless end to the term.

The Australian manager has already made it clear Champions League qualification will not determine Tottenham’s progression.

Spurs came into this season having no European football to play and they have shown vast improvements on what Antonio Conte’s side was producing.

So perhaps the pressure is on the Gunners ahead of Sunday and it is clear Heung-min Son is looking for his side to bounce back in style.

Last time out Spurs were put to the sword again on Tyneside and he has revealed what the players are all saying behind the scenes at Hotspur Way.

What Heung-min Son has now admitted ahead of Sunday’s North London Derby

Last time out for Spurs was one to forget as Newcastle United once again embarrassed them at St. James’ Park.

But Spurs have now had two weeks to prepare for the game against Arsenal at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on Sunday.

Recent history would suggest that is something which may not necessarily favour Tottenham who have had a seriously disjointed schedule this term.

And it is apparent players like Rodrigo Bentancur have struggled to find consistent form after their fixture list has been so heavily moved about.

But Spurs have no time to ease back into their remaining games as the biggest game of the season awaits them on Sunday.

And speaking the the Standard, Son has made it apparent the players are all fully aware of what they need to do to turn their recent form around.

“We have to be ready. It was an unacceptable result and unacceptable performance, as well from me,” he said.

“As a group, we’re talking a lot about this game and performance and everybody knows how to step up, they’ve all been playing long enough in the Premier League or a professional team.”

Impressive Heung-min Son stats should give Tottenham derby optimism

Over the summer, Spurs lost the North London Derby’s greatest ever goalscorer in Harry Kane who continues to cause the Gunners nightmares with Bayern Munich.

But in their South Korean captain, they also have a player who loves to score against their north London rivals.

Here is a roundup of all the goals Son has scored against the Gunners.

After an impressive season, on the whole, Son has suffered a bit of goal drought in recent weeks and what a way to find his shooting boots again than to do so against Arsenal.
