The phenom continues his fantastic 2024 season! Connor Zilisch wins the ARCA Menards Series race at Dover Motor Speedway. It was a long day for the ARCA field, but the future NASCAR star was able to come out on top.
Connor Zilisch didn’t lead the most laps, but he learned in his first Dover start. Each lap he turned he learned and made more and more progress. Zilisch is racing just about everywhere and anything he can get into.
The Trackhouse Racing development driver had no problem claiming a victory and conquering the Monster Mile in his first trip to the track.
Like I said, Connor Zilisch did not lead the most laps. He spent most of the day trying to break into the top-3. For a while, it looked like William Sawalich or Gio Ruggerio would grab the 15th straight win for Toyota in the ARCA Menards Series.
However, for the first time since Luke Fenhaus in 2023, a non-Toyota gets the win. Zilisch has proven time and time again that he is the real deal. Look no further than him if you want to know what the future of NASCAR looks like.

What makes this even more impressive for Connor Zilisch is the fact he beat who he did. There are a few names in this race who will move on to NASCAR careers in the future, including future Cup Series talents.
William Sawalich, Brent Crews, Gio Ruggerio, Carson Kvapil, Andres Perez, and Toni Breidinger are all drivers who have bright futures in this sport. Zilisch went out in his first Dover race and first national series ARCA race of the year and took the win.
Zilisch put himself in position to be on the front row on the final restart. That was right where he wanted to be as he best Ruggiero on the restart and took off for the win. It is amazing to see a 17-year-old kid learn so quickly, gain so much speed, and use it to win the race all in 150 miles.
What more can you say about Connor Zilisch? When he gets behind the wheel he is a threat to win. It doesn’t matter what he’s driving, if it has four wheels and is on asphalt, or concrete in this case, Zilisch can win in it.
