'I'm going to go': David Seaman has just predicted the result of Tottenham vs Arsenal

Arsenal take on Tottenham Hotspur on Sunday, and David Seaman has revealed his prediction for the game.

The North London derby tomorrow is probably the biggest in years.

Arsenal are fighting for the Premier League title, and anything but a win will all but crush their hopes of pipping Manchester City to the crown.

Tottenham, on the other hand, are still in with a chance of finishing fourth. They are six points behind Aston Villa but have two games in hand over Unai Emery’s side.

We expect both Mikel Arteta and Ange Postecoglou to go for the win on Sunday, and that will make the derby a really good game to watch.

Seaman, who has played in quite a few of these fixtures, has delivered his prediction.

David Seaman predicts who will win – Arsenal or Tottenham

Arsenal have been in phenomenal form in 2024.

The Gunners, since the turn of the year, have played 16 games in the Premier League and have won 14 of them, drawing one and losing another.

Their numbers are ridiculously impressive too – 45 goals scored, just six conceded and nine clean sheets kept in that period.

Arsenal are high on confidence as well following a 5-0 win against Chelsea on Tuesday night, and that makes them the slight favourites for the derby on Sunday.

However, Tottenham have had a full two-week break, and they will come into the game as fresh as they can possibly be.

The North London Derby tomorrow is really going to be an exciting watch, and David Seaman has now revealed who he thinks will win the game.

The Englishman, who feels Cristian Romero could get sent off, has predicted a victory for Mikel Arteta’s side.

He said on the Seaman Says podcast: “I’m going to go 2-1 Arsenal. It’s going to be close I think.”

What happened in the last six North London derbies?

History doesn’t really matter in a derby – it’s all about what happens on that day.

However, previous results could have a huge bearing on the confidence of some players, which is why it is interesting to have a look at what happened in the last six meetings between the two sides.

In the reverse fixture this season, Arsenal took the lead twice through a Cristian Romero own goal and a Bukayo Saka penalty, but Heung-min Son’s brace levelled the game.

In the two meetings prior to that, Mikel Arteta’s men picked up convincing 2-0 and 3-1 wins over their fierce North London rivals.

Tottenham picked up a famous win in May 2021 to crush Arsenal’s Champions League qualification dreams that campaign, but on the two occasions before that, the Gunners came out on top.
