Despite the fact that Kenny Brooks is currently in the middle of trying to round out his first team at Kentucky, he’s also making time for recruits down the line. While we’ve already seen Brooks offer Maddyn Greenway, a 2026 prospect, we have yet to see him go as far as the 2027 class.

However, that changed this weekend.

On Saturday, it was announced that Kentucky had offered 2027 guard Ivanna Wilson-Manyacka. Wilson-Mackyana is one of the top overall players in the ’27 cycle as she is listed in ESPN’s 2027 Watch List. The list is compiled of the top 25 overall prospects in the class.

This past season, the 6-foot-2 guard out of Maryland put up 15.6 points, 10.3 rebounds, 2.5 steals and 1.5 blocks per game. Wilson-Manyacka certainly fits the mold of a prototypical Kenny Brooks player.

Even as a 9th grader, Wilson-Manyacka possesses great physicality and size. She may be closer to 6-foot-4 or taller by the time she’s headed off to whatever program lands her. Notre Dame, Louisville, Tennessee, and UCLA are just some of the other schools that have offered Wilson-Manyacka so far.

Back in September, when Brooks was still at Virginia Tech, he and his staff actually visited Wilson-Manyacka during an open gym session. So, this is one that is very much a priority for the new head coach.

Then, considering that she’s from the DMV, you have to like Brooks’ chances there. This is one to keep an eye on.
