'They will': Ian Wright now shares who will win when they face each other - Man City or Tottenham

Ian Wright has predicted whether Manchester City or Tottenham Hotspur will come out on top when they go toe-to-toe with each other.

The last time the two sides met, Spurs managed to frustrate City in a 3-3 draw where referee Simon Hooper stole the headlines.

In a season where there have been a multitude of poor decisions, Hooper’s decision not to let the Sky Blues play advantage as Grealish was in a one-on-one decision was a shocker of a call.

Erling Haaland admitted he was upset by the decision via a hilarious social media post.

But this time around, when Pep Guardiola’s men travel to the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, they will have one objective on their minds; winning by any means necessary.

Micah Richards admitted that the trip to North London could be a contest where City could potentially slip up.

Ian Wright predicts who will win: Man City or Tottenham

Ahead of the contest, Tottenham will play Chelsea, Liverpool and Burnley while Manchester City have to face Wolves and Fulham.

An advantage City might have is playing fewer games than Ange Postecoglou’s side in the build-up to the clash.

However, the treble-winners have played far more matches in comparison to Tottenham this campaign.

But then again, top professionals are always determined to win, no matter how jaded they are.

Both sets of teams have players of the highest order such as Phil Foden, Kevin De Bruyne, Son Heung-min and James Maddison.

Will Spurs be able to pull off an upset must be a question on every Arsenal supporter’s lips.

According to Ian Wright, Manchester City will beat Tottenham in the same manner that Mikel Arteta’s side did in their latest 3-2 win.

“What I saw us do to Spurs today, City will do that. [Phil] Foden wasn’t playing today [against Nottingham Forest], [Erling] Haaland came off the bench. They will do the same, they will do that to Spurs”, he said on the Wrighty’s House podcast.

The Gunners were comfortably winning 3-0 until the 64 minute, courtesy of an own goal from Pierre Emile-Hojbjerg as well as strikes from Bukayo Saka and Kai Havertz.

However, Tottenham were gifted two goals, one including a miskick from David Raya that allowed Cristian Romero to score the first and a late challenge from Declan Rice, which led to Son Heung-min converting from the penalty spot.

The North London Derby eventually ended in a hard-fought win for Arsenal, as they managed to hold on to their lead.

But for most of the game, Arsenal were coasting.

Manchester City are capable of doing what Arsenal did to Spurs

While one expects Tottenham to give Manchester City a tough game, Ian Wright does raise a valid point about the visitors having the ability to dominate them as Arsenal did away from home.

It will not be an easy task but a determined City with the title in their sights could play in sixth gear and demolish Spurs on their day.

Considering the Sky Blues’ poor record at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, they might be looking to send a statement at a ground where they tend to huff and puff.

When Manchester City are purring, even teams like Real Madrid look miles off them and as a result, the possibility of them having a field day against an inconsistent Tottenham side is not out of the question.
