Taco Bell could be shaking up its menu soon as they’re testing two new items, Churro Chillers and Chicken Nuggets, in even more locations.
Both products are being launched in select stores to test their popularity. If successful, a nationwide rollout could be on the cards.
Taco Bell testing Churro Chillers
The Churro Chillers first launched in October 2023 at two restaurants in California before disappearing for a while.
Now, the frozen drinks themed around the Spanish dessert are back at locations in Dallas, Texas, and Chicago, Illinois.
“The Churro Chiller is served in a 16oz cup that’s also swirled with craveable flavor on the inside, filled with a blended sweet shake and topped with a layer of cold foam and churro crumbles,” the fast food chain said in a press release.
They are available in four sweet flavors: Mexican Chocolate, Dulce de Leche Coffee, Wild Strawberry and Sweet Vanilla.
Chicken Nuggets are back too
Chicken Nuggets are also being tested at Taco Bell stores around Houston, Texas, for a limited time until June.
They first launched in October 2023 too at stores across Minneapolis, and now they’re back six months later in a new state.
The crispy nuggets come in 5-piece or 10-piece portions and consist of all-white meat chicken breast marinated in a spiced jalapeño buttermilk before being breaded in a tortilla coating and fried.
They are served with a mildly spicy Bell Pepper sauce, which made up of tomatoes, red chilies, garlic and onions.

One step closer to nationwide
The second test means Churro Chillers and Chicken Nuggets are one step closer to a possible nationwide launch in the future.
The food giant always trials new menu items in certain areas first to find out if they are popular with customers.
If the test is successful, the options are then rolled out across the entire US – so we’ll have to wait and see.
