Five Liverpool loan players who could break into the first team under Arne Slot

Liverpool have five players who could break into the first team under Arne Slot after coming back from their loan spells.

For the first time in a while, it feels like Liverpool’s loan business has not been futile. The club has actually sent players out on loan who have ended up doing really well.

Whereas in the past normally that would just be one player per season, like Harvey Elliott at Blackburn Rovers a few seasons ago, now there are multiple.

In all fairness, this is all building up from what was a relatively good loan season for Liverpool last season as well with Conor Bradley and Jarell Quansah making good strides in particular.

Now there will be five hoping to follow in their footsteps under Arne Slot next season.

Three Liverpool loan players who could be promoted into the first team under Arne Slot

Two players who will really be hoping it’s their moment to shine under Slot are Fabio Carvalho and Tyler Morton.

Both of them have enjoyed a really good campaign with Hull City this season, and they are the type of profiles who would suit Slot’s midfield. Morton would be comfortable playing as a deep lying midfielder, meanwhile in Slot’s system Carvalho could work as a number ten.

They will definitely be in contention. Another whose name has to be mentioned is Sepp van den Berg. He has been clocked as one of the fastest centre-backs in the Bundesliga this season and has been brilliant for Mainz.

Considering he is only 22-years-old and there’s that Dutch connection with Slot, he too could now come into the first team. Especially since Liverpool are short of options in the centre-back department.

Who are the two others who could be promoted under Slot?

Another name that deserves a mention is Luke Chambers. He’s progressed a lot during his loan spell at Wigan Athletic, and has really caught the eye with his performances.

He’s definitely ready to make the next step in his career. And he could prove to be a valuable back-up option in the squad. Especially if for example, Kostas Tsimikas departs for pastures new.

Lastly, Vitezslav Jaros is currently fighting for a league and cup double with Sturm Graz in Austria this season. He’s played in Europe already and looks like a very talented goalkeeper.

Caoimhin Kelleher could also leave Liverpool this summer, and Jaros looks like a potentially ready-made replacement.
