Oklahoma guard Kaden Cooper plans to enter the NCAA transfer portal, On3 has learned.
Cooper spent one year with the Sooners, seeing limited action as a freshman guard on the roster. He averaged just 4.5 minutes per contest while appearing in 15 games.
In that span, Cooper averaged 1.5 points and 0.9 rebounds per game. He shot 50.0% from 3-point range on six total attempts, while he went 7-of-15 (46.7%) from the floor.
Prior to enrolling at Oklahoma, Kaden Cooper was ranked as a four-star prospect and the No. 65 overall recruit in the 2023 recruiting class, according to the On3 Industry Rankings.
He also checked in as the No. 13 small forward in the class and the No. 6 overall player from the state of Georgia, hailing from Ada (OK) The Skill Factory.
Oklahoma lands Fairfield transfer commitment
Fairfield transfer guard Brycen Goodine has committed to Oklahoma, according to a post from his Instagram account.
Goodine will join the Sooners with plenty of experience under his belt, arriving to Norman for the sixth season of his college career with 95 game appearances under his belt.
A former top high school prospect, Goodine chose Syracuse as his school of choice heading into this freshman season. Averaging just 1.9 points and 1.0 rebound per game off fo the bench for the Orange before transferring to Providence after one lone season with Syracuse.
His two seasons with the Friars looked very similar to his freshman year at Syracuse, averaging 1.7 points per game in his 37 game appearances. Which were all off of the bench and resulted in him transferring once again ahead of the 2022-2023 season, joining Fairfield where his career would blossom.
Goodine suffered a season-ending injury just four games into his tenure with Fairfield where he averaged 7.3 points per game off of the bench. Bouncing back this past season for his strongest year to date where he averaged a career-high 13.9 points, 3.0 rebounds, and 1.4 assists per game. Named MAAC Sixth Player of the Year and earning a spot on the All-MAAC Third Team after appearing in 31 games with seven starts.
