Manchester United have one player still competing in European competition, with loanee Jadon Sancho at Borussia Dortmund.
There is a little chance of Jadon Sancho playing for Manchester United again, and right now he is loving life back at Borussia Dortmund.
Last night Sancho featured for Dortmund in the Champions League semi-final first leg against Paris Saint-Germain, and it went very well for him.
Sancho and former United loanee Marcel Sabitzer were on the winning side as Dortmund won their home leg 1-0, with Niclas Fullkrug scoring the goal.
Jadon Sancho makes an impact
Jadon Sancho made a decisive impact in Dortmund’s win with a dribbling masterclass in front of the Dortmund fans.
This was the player Manchester United thought we were getting whenwe signed Sancho.
He was full of confidence and keen to take players on. At Manchester United he was timid, at times afraid of physical contact, and his first move was always to turn back and pass the ball, not run at opponents.
That took place under three different managers, suggesting it was a player fault rather than a coaching issue, but Sancho now looks to have found his groove again.
Against Dortmund he completed 12 dribbles, the highest completed in a Champions League match this season, per Opta.
This was also the most any player had completed in a Champions League semi-final since Lionel Messi against Manchester United in 2008.
So what next for Sancho? Well he can soak up the praise for the next week ahead of the return leg. For Manchester United, there’s one reason to be excited.

Manchester United fans want big Jadon Sancho fee
When Manchester United loaned Jadon Sancho out, he had not started a single game since May, after falling out with manager Erik ten Hag. There were no permanent bids for him in January.
Now, there is a very real prospect that Manchester United might get some big offers for him this summer, and not just from Dortmund.
This was the real positive for United fans to take away, that the club might now be able to sell him for a big fee to reinvest.
One fan wrote on X: “Loving Sancho is doing so well in Dortmund! That transfer fee is going to hit nicely!!”
Another added: “Over the moon that Sancho had another good game… think of the fee in the summer.”
The prospect of a big fee was a hot topic, with another fan writing: “Hopefully Sancho keeps this up. Might actually finally get a good fee when selling someone.”
A fourth fan wrote: “Sancho doing well for Dortmund is good. It gets us a higher fee for him in the summer.”
Another supporter added: “Am happy Sancho is balling tonight. So United can get a decent fee for him. Go Sancho.”
These comments were echoed by another fan: “The great thing about Sancho playing well on this stage is we actually might have a chance in getting a decent fee for him.”
And one more fan wrote: “Thank you Sancho. This is needed for us to sell you at a reasonable price.”
Manchester United’s record sale is still Cristiano Ronaldo back in 2008 for £80 million. Manchester United now stand a chance of getting half that for Sancho, which did not look possible back in January, and perhaps a lot more if he keep this up.
