At first, some attributed the spike in bans to the launch of Overwatch. However, insiders believe this is not the case.
Valve is cracking down on account boosters, case farmers, and cheaters alike. According to those close to the situation, the developer is already in the process of banning popular cheat distributors. This should be great news for serious CS2 players who constantly encounter cheaters in their games.
