Chelsea's 2023/24 season has been nothing short of a nightmare.
The Blues have had a disastrous first campaign under new boss Mauricio Pochettino, with no silverware to speak of and potentially no European football for next campaign. All in all, it's been a year to swiftly forget for the Stamford Bridge faithful.
Whether Pochettino will be there to pick up the pieces next season remains to be seen, but a new term offers fresh hope for Chelsea supporters. With some savvy recruitment in the transfer market - which has eluded them in recent years - and a solid 2024/25 pre-season, a Cole Palmer-inspired Chelsea could enjoy a more fruitful campaign.
Here are Chelsea's 2024/25 pre-season plans as things stand.
Where are Chelsea going for 2024/25 pre-season?
Chelsea have announced they will travel to the United States once again for their 2024/25 pre-season tour, having visited North America for a number of friendlies over the past two years. The Blues have announced five games in total so far, including some against unusual opponents.
The first game of their pre-season - as things stand - will take place on 24 July and their final American encounter will commence on 6 August.
Chelsea 2024/25 pre-season schedule confirmed
Chelsea kick off their American tour with a clash against Hollywood's Wrexham in California on 27 July. The Welsh side, who will compete in League One next season, also faced the Blues in pre-season last year, losing 5-0.
Chelsea then face a clash with former employee Brendan Rodgers and his Celtic side, as well as a meeting with Mexican outfit Club America in late July.
The Blues will then face familiar foes Manchester City \- a team they failed to beat on three occasions in the 2023/24 campaign - before playing Spanish giants Real Madrid on 6 August in North Carolina.
There is, of course, still the possibility Chelsea announce more pre-season fixtures in the coming weeks and months.
How to watch Chelsea 2024/25 pre-season
Chelsea are yet to announce where supporters will be able to view the club's American adventure this summer. However, the Blues are likely to release this information closer to the time of the matches.
