Michail Antonio now gives 13-word Arsenal title prediction, one thing must happen

Arsenal are still within a shot of Premier League glory this season, but Manchester City do have the advantage in the title race.

Mikel Arteta’s side have just three games remaining of the season, and will hope to win all three to keep pace with Pep Guardiola’s juggernauts.

Man City are currently one point behind Arsenal, but do have the luxury of a game in hand, meaning that if they win all of their remaining fixtures, they will become Champions.

It is now down to Arsenal to do their business and hope that City can slip up, but given their recent experience during title run-ins, the likeliest scenario is that they go on to secure their fourth consecutive league triumph. However, West Ham striker Michail Antonio thinks otherwise.

Michail Antonio backs Arsenal to win the Premier League this season

Speaking on The Footballer’s Football Podcast, the West Ham star gave his verdict on Arsenal’s title chances.

“If it goes down to the final day, I reckon Arsenal wins it,” Antonio stated.

The final day will see Arsenal face Everton at home, and Manchester City face West Ham United at home, meaning that Antonio could yet help decide where the title goes, and he was adamant that his team would not be clocked out mentally heading into the game.

“We’ve got something to play for as well, we’ll try to get into Europe,” Antonio added.

A City slip-up does seem unlikely, but not impossible, and their two away clashes against Fulham and Tottenham Hotspur are their toughest games remaining.

If it does reach the final day, Man City are unlikely to let West Ham take points off them at the Etihad Stadium, and the onus may therefore be on Spurs to help Arsenal.

Arsenal just came away with a dramatic win from the North London derby against their bitter rivals, but they will now be rooting for them to stop Man City, and given that Ange Postecoglou’s side are still in contention for a top-four spot, they may have to give their all despite knowing that even a draw could hand their neighbours the initiative in the title race.
