Aston Villa could be in for a blockbuster end to the season.
The Villans are in the brink of securing a place in next season’s Champions League, and what’s more, they’re also in the mix to win a European trophy.
Indeed, Villa are the last English hope in Europe as they look to win the Conference League, and it has to be said that Unai Emery’s side are favourites to win this competition.
Speaking to TNT Sports, Ollie Watkins has been discussing Villa’s chances in Europe, and he says that he’s spoken to a couple of players who won the Conference League with West Ham last season and they reckon Villa will go on to win this trophy.

Watkins shared details of private conversations he had with Declan Rice and Jarrod Bowen about Villa’s European chances.
“Does what happened with West Ham last year spur you on?” Watkins was asked.
“Yeah definitely. I spoke to Dec and I spoke to Jarrod Bowen at England and they said yeah you boys are, they were confident that that we’re going to win it. We’re confident ourselves, but you never know what’s going to happen,” Watkins said.
Aston Villa have a huge chance
Declan Rice fancies Villa to win this competition, and, in all honesty, so do we.
Villa are one of the best teams in England, and, on paper, they should be way ahead of the rest of the pack.
Fiorentina would pose an interesting challenge if the two sides met in the final, but, even then, the Italians haven’t been brilliant this season, sitting fifth in Serie A.
It would be a real disappointment if Villa didn’t win the Conference League from here.
