Sky Sports pundit and former Sheffield Wednesday striker Clinton Morrison has given his verdict on Danny Rohl.
The Manager of the Season awards are already done and dusted in the Championship.
Ipswich Town boss Kieran McKenna scooped the award more than two weeks ago now, despite the season being far from over at the time.
Now, with the Tractor Boys sitting in 2nd and just one game away from the Premier League, the award makes much more sense.
But Rohl may feel like he should’ve been in with a shout.
Rohl, who’s been nominated for the Sky Bet Championship Manager of the Month award for April, wasn’t even among the nominations for Manager of the Season.
But Morrison believes Rohl would be deserving of the accolade if keeps the Owls in the Championship this season.
As things stand, Sheffield Wednesday sit in 20th place of the table and three points above the drop zone ahead of their final day showdown vs Sunderland.

Speaking via Mirror, Sky Sports man Morrison gave his verdict on Rohl and the job he’s done at Hillsborough this season.
He said:
“I know McKenna got manager of the year but if Rohl turns that around, he definitely deserves that.
“They were cut adrift and everyone thought Sheffield Wednesday were gone, you have to give huge credit to him, I think he’s a fantastic manager.
“They have some terrific players and he’s brought in a few good players as well. The job he’s done there has been first class.”
What is the realistic aim for Danny Rohl and Sheffield Wednesday next season
Speaking hypothetically ahead of next, should Sheffield Wednesday get over the line and Rohl stays on, the 2024/25 season seems like it could be a very peculiar one for the Owls.
Their form since his arrival in October should have them challenging for the play-offs.
And if Dejphon Chansiri makes a few positive changes off the pitch, and helps to oversee some quality signings in the summer, then logically speaking, the Owls should be well in the top six race.
But it’s all easier said than done.
Sheffield Wednesday could still have a very tough time in the transfer market this summer, and with a number of first-team players set to leave, there’ll be a huge rebuilding job on this summer.
Then of course it’ll take time for those players to gel and so on, so aims for next season should be limited, with a mid-table finish certainly sounding good for Sheffield Wednesday.
But first they need to secure their Championship status, needing a point from their trip to Sunderland this weekend, unless Birmingham City lose against Norwich City.
